# What this site is

A free valuation and research site for large US stocks. No account, no advice: it shows what a price assumes and what the filings say.

## Free, with no account

Every page on SweetValueLab can be read without signing in, and none of it is behind a paywall. An account exists for one thing only: issuing an API token for an AI agent. The [MCP server](https://sweetvaluelab.com/manual/where-the-numbers-come-from#for-ai-assistants) and the [open datasets](https://sweetvaluelab.com/datasets) need no account at all.

## What it covers

- **Stocks**: the large US companies of the 500 and the 100 lists. Each has an overview, a valuation, its Quant grade, financials, ownership and news. Start from [the stock index](https://sweetvaluelab.com/stocks).
- **Investors**: the 13F portfolios of well-known managers, quarter by quarter, at [/investors](https://sweetvaluelab.com/investors).
- **Markets**: a sentiment gauge, market breadth, Treasury yields and an earnings calendar.
- **Tools**: a DCF calculator, a reverse DCF, a portfolio backtest and stock comparisons, at [/tools](https://sweetvaluelab.com/tools).

## What it never does

The site shows what a price assumes and what the filings say. It never tells anyone to buy or sell, never sets a price target and never calls a stock cheap or expensive.

When the site sets a price against its models, it says so with the number and the source: "undervalued by 18% vs model" or "overvalued by 7% vs model", where the gap is the price divided by the model's value, minus one. The word always comes with its number and the model it came from.

Two kinds of letters and words are the exceptions, and both say what they are:

- The **grades**, S to D, which compare stocks under a named model on a given date. See [Valuation grade](https://sweetvaluelab.com/manual/valuation-grade) and [Quant grade](https://sweetvaluelab.com/manual/quant-grade).
- A manager's **filed action** on the investor pages, in the past tense: bought, added, reduced or sold, as a 13F shows it.

## The manual and the blog

This manual describes the site as it works today, and changes with it; each page shows when it last changed and what changed. The [blog](https://sweetvaluelab.com/blog) is the opposite: dated, bylined articles — earnings reads, method guides, essays — that stay as they were written.
